The iconic Jubilee V plantation on the South Downs near Ditchling is to be temporarily transformed by international light artist Laurent Louyer of artistic studio 'Creatmosphere' into a stunning light installation.
Visible across the Sussex weald and known locally as the V, the subtle illumination of this magical woodland will form the breathtaking centrepiece to The V Light Project.
The project aims to educate and enlighten school children about the South Downs, and to celebrate their bounty, beauty and history.
The proposed timing for the installation is October 2018 to coincide with harvest. It will be active for a fixed number of evenings between dusk and the hours after sunset.
Filming and photographic facilities will be provided in anticipation of widespread media interest.
